Templates are not working when creating a new mail. If you start kmail in a console and create a new message then the following lines shows up: org.kde.pim.templateparser: html string is empty for extracting to plainText org.kde.pim.templateparser: Impossible to extract plaintext Answering or forwarding messages use the templates proper. This behavior is probably related to the fact, that the default format for mails is rich text.
You must use 5.6.x < kmail < 5.7.0 => it's a bug fixed in 5.7.0

It's still not possible to create new mails with a template (File -> new -> New Message Template), because the own templates will not show up. Self created templates for answer/forward messages are working as expected. kmail 5.21.3
