When opening a file from a checked out git repo, and making use of the "Projects" tab, kate will load the file list of the git repo, and add it to the quick open list. If the git repo contains a large number of files, just switching to the quick open list takes at least 1 second. Typing there is even slower, it can take multiple seconds until the UI is updated. This happens with the chromium git repo. It appears to have almost 300000 files. (Yes, that's crazy. Blame Google, not me...)
There were multiple changes to the quick open code recently, is this issue still valid?
I mean, unless something changed about bug #407103, it doesn't really matter.
