Description Hrtmt Brng 2017-11-26 19:09:38 UTC
There is no feature to view a photo.

When I doubleclick on a photo I get a preview. When I click on fullscreen, the menu disappears but I still have a preview. The only option I found is the diashow. But it is not very comfortable to start always a diashow to view a photo.

I already implemented 3 patches for this in #339082. Those were somehow lost. Many people agreed this is needed (including me) but after three years still no simple fullscreen is available. This is the best I could find: #280133.

I already started writing a FullScreenView. For the most part, she still comes from the slideshow source. I intend to implement this for digiKam6. The development of digiKam6 will start after the release of digiKam-5.8.0. I too would like to have a better full screen mode. But lately, there just was something else more urgent to do.
