Description Marcus Harrison 2017-11-25 21:52:25 UTC
On KDE Neon, an unlabelled FAT32 USB stick is mounted in a directory formatted as /media/[user]/neon user [yyyymmdd]-[hh]:[mm]/ where the date is shown as an 8 digit number and the time is shown as a colon-separated number. It is picked up by Amarok.

Attempting to use the "Copy/Move to Collection" functions to copy music from my local collection to the removable drive collection brings up the dialogue asking if I would like to copy unmodified, or transcode. Selecting either option closes the dialogue without copying the tracks and no progress is shown in the progress meter at the bottom of the collections window.

Changing the label on the fat32 partition to an alphanumerical value caused it to be mounted in /media/[username]/[alphanumerical value]/, after which using the "Copy/Move to Collection" functions worked correctly.
