Debug view showing the win tab was not found by krita

Using a wacom bamboo fun tablet, pen pressure works in paint tool sai but does no appear to function in krita. Have tried several fixes to see if I can solve the issue myself, but have had no luck with it. Resorted to trying to debug view and noticed the program could not initialize win tab as shown in the screenshot attatched (I tried logging to a file but the file was always blank).

Would love to be able to use this program, so I hope there is an easy fix.

Hi Erica,

Among the "several fixes" have you tried to enable the Windows 8 Pointer API in the settings/configure krita/tablet page?

Yes I have, that didn't change the pen pressure at all.

Which version of Windows are you using? Can you confirm that there's a wintab32.dll file on your system?

To be precise, please look for "C:\Windows\System32\wintab32.dll" and also "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\wintab32.dll".

Have you restarted Krita before trying after switching to the Pointer API?

Yes I did restart the system after changing the API, still no change there.

I am using Windows 10 and it appears I have no wintab file in the system32
folder but there is one in the sysWOW64 folder.

This means you only have a 32-bit driver installed and no 64-bit driver. The 32-bit version of Krita would probably work, but I don't recommend using it instead of fixing your driver if possible.

The Bamboo Fun seems to be discontinued by Wacom and the latest driver I can find dates back to 2014, but you can still try to install it: http://www.wacom.com/en-us/support/bamboo-support
Make sure you uninstall your current driver first. No guarantee though.
