Created attachment 108897 [details] Screenshot showing the problem With the Breeze style configuration, when "center tabbar tabs" is checked, Konsole tabs in the tabbar are right aligned and always keep about half the width of the tabbar empty of tabs (see screenshot). With the Breeze style configuration set to not "center tabbar tabs", the Konsole tabbar fills the entire width with the tabs, where tabs take each equal width, e.g. two tabs take each half the width of the screen.
What Qt5 version do you have? Starting w/ Qt5.9+, the width of the tabs are shown differently than before. The "fix" for this was to add a new item in Konsole master/17.12 version. With Qt5.9 and master/17.12 "Configure Konsole->TabBar->Expand Individual Tab Widths to Full Window" disabled, the tabs are centered.

I'm still running 17.08. I'll review the changes when 17.12 is generally available. I'd love to see an update to 17.08 to restore the pre-5.9 behavior. BTW- I understand it isn't clear from my original report, but my complaint isn't that the tab's aren't centered - it is that previously the tabs always filled the entire width of the window in all settings, but with Qt 5.9 the tabs are right aligned with some settings.
I have checked centred tabs on my current install and this is not an issue. Oded, can you please confirm if this is still an issue with Konsole 20.08.1+.
With the current Neon unstable packages for Konsole (4:20.08.2+p20.04+git20201023.0020-0) and Qt (5.15.0+dfsg-0xneon+20.04+focal+build14), the reported problem no longer shows.
