Big has been fixed on Nov 29 release.
This bug is still a problem Looking at neon-devedition-gitunstable-20170813-0806-amd64.iso Old images had grub-efi-amd64-bin on the image while newer ones do not Older ones had 2.02~beta2-36ubuntu3.12 500 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-updates/main amd64 Packages
I still have the same issue. Even after installing ubiquity. Ubiquity actually crashes mid-way and I can't finish the installation. Same build, neon gitunstable from nov 28.
Fixed in new image which will be published within the hour https://build.neon.kde.org/view/iso/job/iso_neon_xenial_devedition-gitunstable_amd64/384/console
sorry for the delay on this
