Description Andres Betts 2017-11-05 22:19:44 UTC
This module is not in agreement with SSDM when showing that you have your caps lock key on. When you login to the desktop upon boot, then you get a notice that caps lock is on. If you lock the desktop, then try to enter you password, have caps lock on, Kscreenlocker won't show that you have caps lock on.
Comment 1 Martin Flöser 2017-11-06 04:42:27 UTC
Wayland or X11?
Comment 2 Andres Betts 2017-11-22 04:01:41 UTC
X11
Comment 3 Christoph Feck 2017-12-20 15:48:51 UTC
It works here on Tumbleweed with K:U:* (KDE daily unstable) repositories. Hitting Caps-Lock toggles the text 'Caps Lock is on' above the username and password entry boxes in the screen locker.
Comment 4 Nate Graham 2017-12-20 17:24:14 UTC
Andres, what version of KScreenlocker are you using?

Where can I find the iversion information?
Comment 7 Christoph Feck 2018-01-17 22:55:56 UTC
KInfoCenter shows the Plasma version.

Sorry for the delay. The plasma version is 5.12.80

Thanks for the update; changing status.
Comment 10 Nate Graham 2018-04-29 20:46:33 UTC
Works for me with the new lock screen. Can you still reproduce the issue?

I also can't see any indication of caps lock on. I'm using Manjaro testing, Plasma 5.13.5.
Comment 13 Michael D 2018-09-17 10:03:22 UTC
It might be useful to add that I'm running a wayland session.

On Wayland this is unfortunately expected. The underlying framework is not yet ported.

Also there is no feedback under Wayland when screen unlocking fails because wrong password.
