Illustration

I have problem with is Gradient Map filter - currently it doesn’t produces smooth color transitions. You can see a quick illustration in attached file.

Yes, this is caused by not having the ability to make non-8bit or even dithered gradients. I think one of dmitry's students was working on a fix, but that never got into master.

But I'm making this a generic improve gradient quality wish bug; apparently we haven't got one yet.
