Description Michal 2017-11-02 11:10:18 UTC
I have set custom keybinding (ctrl-o) to close/open integrated panel with terminal. Key combination works to open the terminal but it is does not work to close it. I can see that ctrl-o combination is received by open terminal but not Dolphin. Same keybinding works in Krusader so in my opinion it should also work in Dolphin.

Ctrl+O is a special signal in Konsole: it's bound to "Jump to new row". There's no way you can override this with a keyboard shortcut, I'm afraid. You might consider changing your shortcut to Ctrl+Shift+O.

Krusader guys and midnight commander guys were able to override it so it is definetly possible. Dolphin is KDE project as KDE so it should be possible to share some code or experience.

Hmm, let me give this another think.

This bug does still exist with Dolphin 18.04.2, but I am not exactly sure if this is worth implementing as this could easily cause other bugs to appear... Anyways: If somebody is willing to look at the code over at Krusader and patch Dolphin similarly, please go ahead :)

Still an issue on Konsole from git master.
