Hi, I am new here so apologies for incorrect set up of this request, if anything is wrong. I have been using a program called RealWorld Cursor Editor to create and animation with many frames and multiple layers in each, and want to use Krita to continue, as the other software is really not good for more then a few frames for cursors, as you might imagine. My request is as was suggested in this thread on the Krita forum, to have some solution for the file type incompatibility. https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=139&t=142493&p=383071#p383071 I don't want to rag on but I'll say I don't want to ask too much, but if some type of conversion tool to get the frames intact out of .rli to another format I can use with Krita is possible that would be very helpful. Thanks.
Hi, We've discussed this before. I really doubt anyone from the core team will spend time on this. It's a lot of work for a rather little-used file format, though there _is_ some documentation: http://www.rw-designer.com/rli-specification

I really have no idea how I would do that? Is there anywhere I can get help with that? The replier on the forum post seem to think I can get that help here but, this is rather low priority thing. If I can at least get some help figuring out what I need to do, and what file type I Should convert to that still works with Krita, that would be helpful.
well, the thing is, it needs coding. File formats are really tricky, and while this one has a description it's ambiguous in places. So it's real work...
