Description Gregor Mi 2017-10-29 21:42:28 UTC
It would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut for precisely controlling the volume (e.g. with cursor left/right) in the Audio Volume applet.

If you switch focus to slider with Tab you can change volume with left/right arrow keys.

"Tab" does not work for me. It switches only between 1) the Pin icon, 2) the settings icon, 3) some invisible element.

Normally, the user would click with the mouse on a slider to give it the keyboard focus.

It appears to work only sometimes ...

Well, that's not how QML works unfortunately.

In any case, this would probably need fixing in more places as keyboard focus is a problem in general with QML.

tabbing to focus the slider works for me now with the new layout in Plasma 5.19.
