Description Marc González Majoral 2017-10-25 14:00:09 UTC
After updating to 5.5.3, I can't do anything with articles.

Even with any article selected, the "Article" entry in the window's menu bar has all its elements greyed out, and when I right-click any article, the contextual menu doesn't show up. Also I can't use any article-related shortcuts, like 'Supr' for deleting, 'Return' and the variants to open the articles, etc...

I'm also missing the contextual menu when I right click any feed in the feeds list panel.

This basically means akregator is unusable for me right now. I can only get new articles or create new feeds.

I can confirm this.

Akregator 5.6.2 compiled from sources.

Anticle entry has always its elements greyed out.

I can delete and article with Supr if I run akregator standalone.

If I run akregator inside kontact, then I cannot delete articles using Supr key.

Not sure if it's related, but most of the time when I update the feeds, all the new articles appear without date (empty column) and also the unread articles count doesn't work properly.

Akregator is just unusable for me right now.

Now I tried to open standalone Akregator, and after closing it and reopening Kontact, I got a message of corrupted XML sources file and now I have all the default sources (kde, planets, etc...), losing everything I had.

Thanks Kubuntu.

Thanks for the report Marc. I've just tested this on Akregator from git master but I cannot reproduce the issue. All items in the Article menu are available for me.

Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved, thanks.

I'm not using KDE anymore, so it can be closed I guess.
