Application: konqueror (4.14.2) KDE Platform Version: 4.14.2 Qt Version: 4.8.6 Operating System: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 x86_64 Distribution: Debian GNU/Linux 8.9 (jessie) -- Information about the crash: -rename a directory in konqueror -move some or all files from this renamed directory to an other location in your local system -sometimes (~30%) konqueror crashes, perhaps because I start moving, while the rename is not finished... --on my system, there is no difference if rename is done in the left tree view or in the listing on the right side: perhaps "the bad reload behavior of the tree view" has something to do with this crash!?! --"the bad reload behavior of the tree view" is already known I guess... (I mean after renaming a directory on the right side, the tree view (on the left side) will not always reload and show the new name. and so it will still search for the old directory.) The crash can be reproduced sometimes. -- Backtrace: Application: Konqueror (konqueror), signal: Segmentation fault Using host libthread_db library "/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libthread_db.so.1". Created attachment 109104 [details] New crash information added by DrKonqi konqueror (4.14.2) on KDE Platform 4.14.2 using Qt 4.8.6 - What I was doing when the application crashed: 1. I changed the name of a directory in the konqueror-tree-view. 2. In this directory I started an update-script for my playlists. That script is only generating simple m3u-files. The directory in which I started the script is not really big, just 4 subdirectories with 60 files at all. and there was no need for any "heavy" file action (with reg-ex or rename or copy files). 3. Immediately after that konqueror crashed. (While my update script finished without any problems.) When there is a crash in konqueror, there was always a rename action a few seconds before. Always. -- Backtrace (Reduced): #8 0x00007fe8ff1b4d85 in KDirLister::refreshItems (this=<optimized out>, _t1=...) at ./kdirlister.moc:315 #9 0x00007fe8ff1b6a19 in KDirLister::Private::emitItems (this=0x25307b0) at ../../kio/kio/kdirlister.cpp:2519 #10 0x00007fe8ff1c2496 in KDirListerCache::slotUpdateResult (this=0x221a880, j=<optimized out>) at ../../kio/kio/kdirlister.cpp:1826 [...] #12 0x00007fe8fd715532 in KJob::result (this=this@entry=0x2d091b0, _t1=_t1@entry=0x2d091b0) at ./kjob.moc:207 #13 0x00007fe8fd715580 in KJob::emitResult (this=this@entry=0x2d091b0) at ../../kdecore/jobs/kjob.cpp:318
