Whenever I try to create a connection to a webdav (nextcloud/owncloud) folder, I get an error message that the connection to the server couldn't be created and that I should check my settings and try again. But it always worked with these settings. On the terminal I get the following output: QObject::connect: invalid null parameter Using Wayland-EGL Using the 'wl-shell' shell integration Empty filename passed to function Error loading text-to-speech plug-in "speechd" So usually there is not a lot that you can make wrong to create the connection, it always worked like a charm before, never had this issue at least in Plasma 5.10. journalctl -f Okt 21 11:59:10 pc plasmashell[4855]: Empty filename passed to function Okt 21 11:59:10 pc plasmashell[4855]: Empty filename passed to function Okt 21 11:59:11 pc kiod5[1546]: org.kde.kio.kpasswdserver: User = "rainer" , WindowId = 1 Okt 21 11:59:18 pc plasmashell[4855]: Currrent active notifications: QHash(("notification 4", "knetattachVorgang fehlgeschlagen")("notification 6", "knetattachVorgang fehlgeschlagen")("notification 8", "knetattachVorgang fehlgeschlagen")("notification 3", "knetattachVorgang fehlgeschlagen")("notification 7", "knetattachVorgang fehlgeschlagen")("notification 5", "knetattachVorgang fehlgeschlagen")) Okt 21 11:59:18 pc plasmashell[4855]: Guessing partOf as: 0 Okt 21 11:59:18 pc plasmashell[4855]: New Notification: "Vorgang fehlgeschlagen" "webdavs://rainer@SERVERNAME.de:443/NEXTCLOUD/remote.php/webdav" 0 & Part of: 0 Okt 21 11:59:18 pc plasmashell[4855]: Empty filename passed to function Okt 21 11:59:18 pc plasmashell[4855]: Empty filename passed to function Okt 21 11:59:18 pc plasmashell[4855]: Empty filename passed to function Okt 21 11:59:18 pc plasmashell[4855]: Empty filename passed to function Okt 21 11:59:18 pc plasmashell[4855]: Unexpected wl_surface.enter received for output with id: 11 screen name: "Screen19" screen model: "DP-3-U28D590" Plasma 5.11.1 KDE Frameworks 5.39 Qt 5.10 beta (compiled against 5.9.2)
After the recent setup of a new machine I did again some tests. On the new machine it worked without any issues. So back to the existing machine, I checked why I couldn't connect again to my webdav folder. The difference is that the KDE Password manager still had some old/invalid passwords. The setup of the webdav connection should ask the user to type in a new password and it shouldn't just tell the user that the connection to the server didn't work. Plasma 5.12 KDE Frameworks 5.42
