A screenshot of the problems.

Enter these lines into your editor:

123abc
123abc
123abc一二三
123abc
123abc

The primary font of my editor is Consolas, and the fallback font of my editor is Source Han Sans. If your font settings is the same as mine, you may find that the third line is not aligned to the line number. I think the vertical text line should be adjusted according to the baseline of the text line instead of the top of the text line.

Another problem, if you select the third line, you may find that the fourth line is partially covered by the selection background of the third line.

Is this still valid?

Now the texts are not covered by the selection background, but they are covered by the normal background of the next line; also the texts are still not aligned to the line numbers.

I have added a new screenshot to show the problem.

Frameworks 5.59.0
Version 19.04.2

Perhaps a font issue?
Comment 7 Christoph Cullmann 2019-07-14 11:09:40 UTC
Works for me, too.
This is a issue with some fonts that don't behave like one wants :/
In the end this is just one other variant of bug 404907.
