It would be more useful if the encryption info (fingerprints) could be viewed before sending or accepting a pair request. For sending a pair request this only needs to be added to the menu, for accepting a pair request the fingerprint could be added to the notification as well as the device pane. Ironically, the only way to check a fingerprint currently is to pair with the device first.
Agreed, this should be made possible before pairing :)
