Screenshot of task manager items with mutple context menus.

Opening context menus for Plasma shell panel items will not close the menu while interacting with Plasma panel elements.

You can also open multiple context menus this way (unrelated to the tray item bug) and continue interacting with panels and panel widgets without dismissing the menus.

Confirming getting this one as well, quiet annoying.

It seems we do close when another window gets focus.

right click -> get menu
then click on a dolphin/firefox window and they close.

Just not when clicking the desktop.

Can you confirm we have the same findings?

While often menus do get closed like you say (except the desktop) I can observe more than two menus being open with icon only task manager. Just click on one icon, then the second, the third. All menus stay open.
