Bug example.

After creating new file of 1600 x 1200 dimensions, setting zoom level to 100% blocks usually the right side of the canvas with transparency grid.Scrolling right and scrolling back shows grid blocks of random sizes and/or in random locations.zoom levels above and below 100% do not show this.Brush strokes made a 100% zoom are appear to erase, revealing more of the grid.Painting on grid erases grid.

1)Lower zoom level to 100%.

The transparency grid is displayed over right side of the canvas, blocking any content underneath.

Build 2017-10-11 on Windows 7

At 100% the entire canvas should be visible.

Hm... Is the file actually broken, or is it only a display issue? Do you have canvas acceleration enabled, and if so, Angle or Opengl? And can you add the output of help/Show System Information to this report?
Comment 3 allenwoody1997 2017-10-14 10:25:37 UTC
This does appear to be a display issue.I have replicated it twice so far.

I am new to Krita and have right now little knowledge of computer graphics. How do I do this?
Comment 4 Alvin Wong 2017-10-14 10:28:42 UTC
I think there were reports on similar issues and the conclusion was that it's an Intel OpenGL driver bug. Please post the text from "show system info for bug reports" and test with ANGLE renderer. And try updating your graphics driver.

How do I test with ANGLE renderer?

I will try to update my graphics driver.

I have updated my graphics driver a few days ago and report that results are mostly unchanged. Now when a brush stroke overlaps the grid it clears it by an area shaped like the storke.

I am still unaware of how I test with ANGLE renderer.

Do you mind instructing me?

Go to settings/configure krita/display and in the rendered combobox select "Direct3D 11 via ANGLE"

I don't know how to use this. The box is non-interactable

It looks like your graphics/card driver doesn't support the necessary level of opengl at all... What's the output of Help/System Information for Bug Reports?
Comment 11 wolthera 2017-11-03 14:48:52 UTC
They already posted that information...

I think the problem might be that their laptop is literally 10 years old and thus doesn't have integrated graphics. I mean, i386 processors haven't been produced since september 2007.

I am afraid that they either will have to live with this bug, or buy a new laptop, or figure out how to put a graphics card in their laptop. We implemented the graphics card accelerated canvas explicitly to deal with this bug, and haven't had any better solutions.
Comment 12 Halla Rempt 2017-11-03 18:40:16 UTC
Ah, I missed that, probably because

  Build ABI: i386-little_endian-ilp32
  Build CPU: i386

and

OpenGL Info
  **OpenGL not initialized**

Is so uncommon that it didn't trigger my "this is the info I need" visual acuity. In this case, though, the answer is going to be, sorry, but this hardware does not support Krita.
