Kate opens a file which has same name as debugging directory. GDB debugs correctly. The setting I use in Kate are: Executable: /home/sp/SAOi/SAOi and
Working Directory: /home/sp/SAOi/. I am using Lubuntu 16.04 with Kate 16.04.3

Can you please confirm if this is still an issue? And if so please provide steps to reproduce the issue, thanks.

No longer using Lubuntu 16.04 with Kate 16.04.3. Not sure if it is still an issue.
