Description Tobias Leupold 2017-10-08 07:50:41 UTC
(I'm using KMail 17.04.3, which seems to be not listed in the "Version" selection).

When composing a new email, a font with variable width is displayed. One can choose "View → Fixed width" (or such in English) to get a fixed-width font.

After restarting KMail, this setting is lost and a font with variable width is shown again when composing a new email.

There's neither a "Save view settings" option in the composer, nor did I find any such option in any other menu or settings dialog.

Same thing btw. for the "Deactivate emoticons" setting for the email view, even after saving the settings. Probably the same problem?

This one is by default no saving. It's normal.
We want to disable it for specific email as email with diff attachment but not for all emails. This one will not saved.

Well okay. I personally don't want to see those graphical smileys, in no case. But this is a different bug then.
