Description Lee the Geek 2017-10-06 19:17:10 UTC
8:36 is not the same as 8.36. In the first instance, the 36 is 36/60ths of a minute whereas the latter is 36 HUNDREDTHS which has very little to do with time.
Comment 1 Myriam Schweingruber 2017-10-07 13:09:14 UTC
Displayed correctly for me, are you sure you do not just have a font/theme issue?

Really? Do you suppose a font issue is causing incorrect time displays?

as I said, the time is displayed correctly here, using the standard font and theme for KDE4 libraries for which Amarok is optimised, so if it does not display correctly for you I can only assume it is an issue outside our control.

I have made no font changes ever in Linux!

I'm sorry, perhaps you didn't understand. The incorrect times displayed are the result of erroneous calculations of totals. The total times of albums are very wrong.
On one of my playlists, Amarok displayed the total time as 29:06 when the actual total was closer to 46 minutes.

Indeed, your initial post makes it very confusing, sounded like the dot was displayed instead of a :

Now we're on the same page.
What I was attempting to do was to indicate the reason for the error:

When adding times, .30 minutes and :30 minutes are very different. The
first is 3 tenths of a minute; the second is 5 tenths of a minute or 30/60.
I believe that is the source of your error because when I added the numbers
erroneously, I got the same results as Amarok.

I never get bug information after I've entered a bug. Your system sucks.
The bug is most likely still there along with the other hundred bugs I've
reported.
