A non-blank page, displaying blank in Okular

Credit card PDF statements from Chase Bank (www.chase.com) display mostly or entirely blank when viewed in Okular as supplied in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Okular 0.24.2). Attached is a screenshot of a typical statement, which should be full of text but the text is all missing.

Sorry I can't include an actual statement due to privacy. But maybe somebody on the dev team has a Chase credit card...?

Adobe Reader and Evince display the statements just fine.

I have a Chase account, and I can confirm this in Okular 1.0.3 and 1.2.70.

Can you confirm pdftoppm has the same problem?

Then it's a poppler bug, please file a bug in bugs.freedesktop.org
