Description Want_Reason2Use_Linux 2017-10-03 21:49:19 UTC
Hi.
I am running a "BCM4313 802.11bgn Wireless Network Adapter" on a "HP Pavilion M6" with "openSUSE 42.3." The card is usually slow; and additionally it loses connections. The card was stable and fast when running Windows 7. Currently, I have another notebook running Windows 10 and an Android mobile which both connect faster and more stable than openSUSE. How can I get the WiFi to be stable and fast in openSUSE Leap 42.3?
NB. I am a novice to Linux and not a Driver Developer.

This is almost certainly a kernel issue, and a fairly common one at that. Leap 42.3 uses a fairly old kernel, and newer ones have much better support for your networking hardware. If you can, upgrade to kernel 4.8.7 or later, which should resolve the issue completely.

Either way, this isn't a KDE bug.
