Description Skarmoutsos Vangelis 2017-10-01 18:35:12 UTC
When pressing Instant recording button an overlay message informs that recording started and if pressed again it informs that recording stopped, but no file is created.

When schedule a recording the corresponding file is created normally.

What Kaffeine version are you using?

Instant recording should work fine on version 2.0.5, although there were some improvements that were applied to version 2.0.11, in order to better handle <PAUSE/CONTINUE>.

PLease notice that the instant records will be stored under your home directory, with the name like:
   <channel name>-<start_time>.m2t

For example, if I start recording a channel named "Foo" at 08:44, the instant record will be at:
   ~/Foo-0844.m2t

Actually, it will also use seconds there, so the name for "Foo at 08:44:22 would be:
   ~Foo-084422.m2t

The store locations was examined carefully before filing this bug report and I believe that is not the case here.
Also, I just upgraded to Kaffeine 2.0.13 and now Instant Recording works fine as expected.
