Description Silvio Grosso 2017-09-30 12:00:36 UTC
Hello everyone,

I have dowloaded Krita 3.3 (stable version) : x64.exe installer.
Installed on Windows 10 (64 bit).

With G'MIC 2.0.5, installed through the Krita 64 bit installer, I usually get a crash whenever I set the G'MIC output as *new layers* (this mode is not supported yet ok Krita).
This crash is quite similar to the one reported in bug:
384026, which has been reported as fixed by Alvin Wong

Here is the video, with my steps, on Windows 10, to usually reproduce the crash :
https://www.dropbox.com/s/fo6iuazu81v06tx/KRITA_3.3_CRASH_GMIC_NEW_LAYERS.mp4?dl=0

Here is the log for this crash (Windows 10):
https://www.dropbox.com/s/p1o07amp1hhmg04/kritacrash_gmic_30-sett.log?dl=0

Most of the time Krita (due to G'mic 2.0.5) crashes.
It only suffice to repeat my same steps a few times until Krita crashes.

I have tried Krita 3.3 on Windows 7 (x64.exe installer) and this crash occurs most of the time.

Hi Silvio,

I just tried to reproduce with 3.3.2 on Windows 10 and I didn't get this crash. Maybe it got fixed... Could you check? Thanks!

Hi Boud,
Just checked on Windows 10 (64 bit)Krita 3.3.2 portable (ZIP)
It still crashes but it is VERY difficult to reproduce: just needs a lot of patience...When I recorded this video [1]  it crashed easily but I had to work a lot harder to reproduce this crash again later on :-)
I may be wrong but I suspect this crash of mine is strictly related to this bug as well (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387033)

Indeed, your crash log and video matches bug 387033.
It isn't that the output is set to "New layer(s)"/"Nuovo(x) livello(s)", but because the input is "All"/"Tutti".
