Selected track seems to be limited to the item receiving focus in the playlist. You should Ctrl+J to move to the playlist column. Then using keyboard navigation it is not possible to select multiple tracks for editing track info or deleting from playlist etc. For that you should involve an initial mouse scroll or click somewhere on the playlist, then keyboard multi-select is functional. Another caveat is if it is required to edit track info of items in the collection, after the usual keyboard multi-select (which works perfectly on Ctrl+F) user must resort to the context menu for Edit Track Details. Ctrl+E leads to editing selected tracks in the playlist not the collection. To restore consistency it is good that Amarok remembers user's last select and bind Ctrl+E to the latest selection activity.
I would also like to see a better keyboard shortcuts support, especially in the Player and Playlist pane. For example, when adding a new stream or from local files tracks are automatically added at the end of the list. If the playlist has a lot of tracks and I want the new ones to be arranged at the top I need to drag them by mouse one page at a time, it's very tedious and time-consuming. When it comes to adding new tracks it might help to add them after the currently active one, or have a preference that switches it. But it doesn't help with editing the playlist. Maybe something like the "Editor Queue" would help, the "Playlist editor". It would also be a lot more easier to control the playing with dedicated shortcuts for each of the functions (Next Track, Stop, etc).
