In the "Credits and Debits for this Year" report, when we enter settings, in the "Rows / Columns" tab, the "Detail" field shows up blank, and if we save in this way sometimes the all file gets corrupted, erases everything (oh my God, if you do not have backup ...).

Do you have the same problem saving the file if you do not display this report first?  

Is there anything at all left in the file if you open it after this, or does KMM refuse to even open it?

If you mean "Income and Expenses This Year" (under the first set of reports) I see "Details" on the "Rows/Columns" configuration tab as a dropdown, with "All" "Top-Level" "Groups" and "Totals" as options.  If you have a kmy file where this field shows up blank, see if you can save it as an anonymized file to attach to the bug, so someone can figure out why.

No, I only have this problem if I use this report.

The file turns to 0 KB, I attached a exemple.

I attached a print screen, but I noticed that this only happens in "Brazilian Portuguese Language", in English is OK.

Hi Chris,

I think this is the key information - that this is specific to the Brazilian Portuguese translation.  I have a suspicion (no evidence yet) that the translated string for the default value in that field is somehow corrupt, in a way that the whole application suffers.  Now we just have to track down exactly how this happens, and figure the best way to fix it.

I pulled the .po file for pt_BR from the 4.8.0 release tarball, and I don't see any obvious corruption.  The translation for "All" is "Todas."  I can't test this on my own machine, since I have it set to not install languages.  I will see if I can try it on Windows - as I suppose this could also be a Windows specific issue.

I can't reproduce this - I can run KMM (Windows 7) and change the language to pt_BR.  The language dialog changes to pt_BR, but I had to log out and in again for the KMM splash screen to be pt_BR, but even then, the rest of the program is still in English.  I don't know remember if languages need to be chosen at install time, but I'll work a bit more on this before just waiting for other ideas.

Now I´m using Version 5.1.3-cc213a5e2, always trying to be updated.

The 0 KB problem never hapend anymore, but the "Detail" field shows up blank is still happening.
