It would be an great enhancement, if it would be possible to jump to the actual position in source, if scrolling in live preview window to an other position.
This should be already possible with inverse search: https://docs.kde.org/stable4/en/extragear-office/kile/quick_inverse.html But I think it only works with latex or pdflatex compilers. I am using Xelatex and it does not work.
I can confirm, that <SHIFT + left Mouse click> works.
I think the shortcut Shift+Mouse Click is not discoverable enough for such an important feature. I looked through all available actions in the menu bar and through the settings and didn't see it. I already thought this feature that I am used to from Texmaker might be missing before checking the manual as a last resort where I found "inverse search" explained. Should I make a separate bug report about this?
Created attachment 169773 [details] Suggestion where an inverse search button could be placed for disoverability I hope something like this can be implemented. I tried myself, by sending a Shift+Mouse Left-Click Event from Kile to the viewer but this somehow didn't have any effect. I think it would be a huge improvement to usability to have something like this. As it stands, I assume that most users (just like the original bug reporter) will not find this feature and always have to manually search through their editor to find the same line they just read in the preview.
