Description Patrick Silva 2017-09-06 22:07:32 UTC
Every time I install kde my three NTFS partitions (from internal HDs) are added to blacklist. Is this behavior intentional or not? If intentional, why?

Arch, plasma 5.10.5.

I believe this is intentional. I couldn't tell you why, though (not being a baloo dev). Could be for performance, or maybe NTFS is somehow not compatible.

Thank you Nate.
Maybe some baloo dev can give us details.
Comment 3 Nate Graham 2017-10-30 20:43:42 UTC
Yes, this is intentional. It's believed that Baloo currently is not performant enough to index NTFS disks. Working on Baloo is on my long-term to-do list, but this probably wont't change until some more under-the-hood work is done.
