colorsettings

When i change the scheme on the top, does the Apply button not appear as clickable, while the color palette itself changes.

Current KDE, happens since some weeks.

Is it actually inactive, or is it just the icon that's wrong? Does this reproduce using the light/standard Breeze color scheme?

Please mention the versions of Kate, KDE Frameworks, and your distro.

This bug is valid with kate 18.12.3. "Apply" button remains greyed out after I select another color scheme.

Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.56.0
Qt Version: 5.12.2

The top part is a "color scheme editor", just changing the scheme being displayed shouldn't trigger the "Apply" button to become enabled; that will happen if you actually change any of the scheme colors.

The issue here is it's not apparent that the top part is an interface to edit the colors of a scheme but not to change the scheme currently used in kate (that can be done via the "Default schema for kate" combo box... unless the user has selected a different transient color scheme from View -> Schema).

Yeah. We're tracking the UI improvements necessary for this in https://phabricator.kde.org/T11064.
