Crash report

I'm reporting this against Dolphin, although more parts of KDE Neon are affected. From my usage, drkonqui and the login greeter also crash when I attempt to report this bug using drkonqui and log out respectively.

This is probably related to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=366156, except it happens when I switch from the Intel GPU to the Nvidia one. I've created the crash report using the method described here: https://community.kde.org/Dolphin/FAQ/Crashes

System information might be handy, so I'm including it. The GPUs identified by hex codes are an Intel HD 630 and an Nvidia 1050Ti respectively. I'm using proprietary drivers on the GPU:

Version of the nvidia driver?
Comment 2 Syfer Polski 2017-08-28 00:13:23 UTC
375.66, default from the repository(fetched by ubuntu-drivers install)

When the desktop isn't crashed and I'm using the Nvidia GPU, it shows:
pshem@PiDell:~$ inxi -G
Graphics: Card-1: Intel Device 591b
           Card-2: NVIDIA Device 1c8c
Display Server: X.Org 1.19.3 driver: nvidia Resolution: 1920x1080@60.00hz
GLX Renderer: GeForce GTX 1050 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 GLX Version: 4.5.0 NVIDIA 375.66
Comment 3 Syfer Polski 2017-08-28 18:33:29 UTC
I installed https://launchpad.net/~graphics-drivers/+archive/ubuntu/ppa for newer drivers, but my results haven't changed with 375.82. Should I try switching to the new LTS, ie. 384. branch?
Comment 4 Julian Steinmann 2018-05-29 16:29:05 UTC
Does this crash still happen with an updated system? I am relatively clueless when it comes to driver problems/interactions, so @Elvis can probably guide you further than I could.
Comment 5 Julian Steinmann 2018-06-12 08:00:48 UTC
Any updates? It'd be great if we knew whether this crash does still happen or not. Thanks!

My KDE Neon instance degenerated further and won't launch nvidia-settings anymore(I don't know when that occured as I just stuck to the intel GPU for months before and used the Nvidia GPU in a separate OS). I don't think Dolphin is the culprit here
Comment 7 Julian Steinmann 2018-06-16 06:27:25 UTC
Huh, that's obviously not great :( Concerning nvidia-settings: Are there any error messages when trying to launch it from the console? This might indicate a problem within KWin or the driver itself.
