windows 10, wacom tablet, 64 bit. Krita opens, File, New or Open. As soon as the stylus touches the draw surface, krita freezes, rather I cannot see any mark on the canvas unless I close krita and the "do you want to save" dialog appears. Then the marks become visible. When first installed, it worked perfectly. Now, after about a week O not using krita, it exhibits this. I have removed and reinstalled with no success. I am going into krita files and try deleting something!
Does it make a difference if you disable opengl? If so, then you probably got a windows update last week that broke things...
Could you check whether disabling opengl makes a difference?
