In Dolphin's settings, I set a maximum Trash size of 1%, which is ~ 8 GB. I chose to delete files irrevocable. However, that setting doesn't seem to have any effect: ~ $ du -hs .local/share/Trash 27G .local/share/Trash I would expect that Dolphin reduces the Trash size to ~ 8 GB when I delete a file, but this is not the case.
The problem is still reproducible with kio-5.37.0 and dolphin-17.04.3
Ro(In reply to Robert G. Siebeck from comment #1) > The problem is still reproducible with kio-5.37.0 and dolphin-17.04.3 Robert, is this bug still reproducible for you? Can you check how much free space KDE thinks your trash have? It is shown in bottom right corner of Dolphin window when it is opened on trash:// I suspect your bug is the same as mine. In my case KDE stopped counting size of deleted files and shows empty space as equal to trash size limit. But actually there lots of deleted stuff in trash, about 1.5 size of a trash. Age limit seems to still work.
(In reply to Alexander Meshcheryakov from comment #2) > Robert, is this bug still reproducible for you? No, I just tried to reproduce it and it seems to work fine. I'm currently on dolphin-17.08.3 and kio-5.43.0
