Took me a while to find the donate option. 

Can we add "Donate" with a link to the donation page to the top menu on the project website?

Done with version 18.12. In the help menu the link points to: https://www.kde.org/community/donations/?app=kdenlive as Kdenlive is part of the KDE organization.
