For now - there is some unused space that can be used in more efficient way.
There can be possible scrollbars or number of recent apps can be limited (up to 25 on 1366x768 screen).

Screenshot is attached.

Same can be done for recent documents too.

This goes for Recent Documents as well. I noticed the same.

Should probably be some multiple of the globally-configured number.
