attachment 106922 [details] is a PDF form I created with the latest pdflatex. It fulfils the PDF form specification as is used as reference PDF for for the program LyX. The PDF looks and works fine using Adobe Reader under windows. Under Linux using Okular 1.1.3 there are several bugs. (attachment 106923 [details] is the TeX source code of the form.) This report is about executing the basic actions of PDF forms: - open the PDF and go to sec. 4 - There you have 3 buttons. Click one of them result: nothing happens. This is a Save As button to save the form as a new PDF, a button to print and a button to view in fullscreen. The first 2 actions are essential feature of PDF forms. Without it most forms from administrations cannot be used and users would be forced to use Adobe reader under Windows to fill out and send forms.
The program Evince supports at least to print the PDF.
Confirmed with Okular from git master and Poppler 0.6.0 (also from git master). Albert or Oliver, is this a problem with Okular, or Poppler?
I would assume that both Okular and poppler will need additional work here, but I do not know for sure.
Reading this again, the fact that it works in Evince--which also uses Poppler--implies that the issue is in Okular.
The bug is still in Okular 1.11 (tested on Windows using the nightly build 585). The improvement is that the button to show the form in fullscreen works now, the button to reset the form and to print it, are still not working.
All 3 actions work fine now in the latest Okular version.
