I am using KMail as my main email program and like the feature that when typing phrases like "in the attachment" I automatically get reminded to attach something before sending the mail. Unfortunately, I also get reminded if one of those phrases is present in an email I received after pressing the reply button, or when forwarding the message inline. Is it possible for KMail to only remind me to attach something if I wrote that phrase and it is not part of a quote from an email I reply to? --- Version Information I've installed KMail via ArchLinux package manager (pacman). $ pacman -Ss kmail | grep installed extra/akonadi-import-wizard 17.04.3-1 (kde-applications kdepim) [installed] extra/kmail 17.04.3-1 (kde-applications kdepim) [installed] extra/kmail-account-wizard 17.04.3-1 (kde-applications kdepim) [installed] extra/kmailtransport 17.04.3-1 [installed] extra/mbox-importer 17.04.3-1 (kde-applications kdepim) [installed] $ kmail --version kmail2 5.5.3 $
Hi, code avoid to check quoted line. So could you paste or save email as mbox and attach it here please ? I need to check it. Thanks Regards.
What is your subject too when you forward/reply ?
For the moment my autotest can't validate a bug with this code. So I need a testcase :) Thanks
I did some testing myself and found out that when I send a mail from one address using KMail to another one using KMail and hitting reply everything works as expected and I don't get reminded to attach a file. BUT - When I send a mail to my GMail address, use the online GMail client to reply, and then use KMail to reply again - I can trigger this bug. I'll attach a screenshot.
Created attachment 106833 [details] The message appears but shouldn't Please note that the german word "angehängt" is what should trigger the attachment reminder
Created attachment 106834 [details] An mbox of a message triggering the attachment reminder
Ok thanks it seems to be a bug when you reply as html. I will investigate it. Thanks
