The ark in Kubuntu 17.04 does not sort correctly by date. In Kubuntu 16.04 it worked.

Seems to work here. Can you attach a screenshot showing what's wrong?

Sure. It's attached.

If I ask it to order on name or size, it works flawlessy. If I click on the
date field, at the first single click it does nothing. At the second, it
inverts the previously used order (name or size).

Seems it happens with anyone. Those were always created with the "compress here" command in dolphin, in a default and updated kubuntu 17.04 install.

Attached an example.

The test archive is sorted-by-date as expected here. Note that files and folders have different sortings.

However, the screenshot you attached does show a wrong sorting for sibling files...

Also can't confirm the issue in Neon Git Stable, Plasma 5.12.2, KF 5.43.0, Qt 5.10.0, Ark 17.12.2

All looks fine with attached archive here and few other I checked from my computer.

Yes, with Kubuntu 17.10 the bug disappeared.
