Description Jean-Claude 2017-07-17 16:55:22 UTC
You find a star, center chart, center scope.
With the Mount Control you move DEC up : nothing happens in the chart although DEC figures are changing.
Same for RA

Needs more detail on this. Can you record video/screenshot of this behavior? Can you attach KStars Logs?

OK, I repeated the experiment with the simulator.
I found Mizar, center and slew to it. I took a preview.(see 3 attachments)
Then I moved North with the Mount Control. I took a preview.
Then I moved East with the Mount Control. I took a preview.
The three previews are identical !
This means that we don't take a preview where the scope is.
This is confusing.

Jean-Claude,

do you still experience this bug?

If yes, can you share the screenshots?

Make sure ACTIVE_TELESCOPE in CCD Simulator's INDI Control Panel --> Options is set correctly to Telescope Simulator.
Comment 10 Jean-Claude 2017-08-28 07:14:09 UTC
I checked that Telescope Simulator is set in INDI Control Panel > CCD Simulator > Snoop Devices > Telescope.
However the Preview didn't change after moving the mount .
(This being said, I am simply amazed of the capability of the simulators; For instance, acting on the simulated preview with the exposure and the focus. Impressive)
I'm now using KStars 2.8.2
Comment 11 Csaba Kertész 2017-09-20 20:45:28 UTC
I was able to reproduce the bug:

- When the Telescope Simulator is moved with West/East/North/South controls, the telescope icon moves in the skymap, but capturing an image with CCD Simulator results an image from the original position.
- Telescope Simulator works if "Slew" operation is used to move the telescope somewhere to track a target. CCD Simulator captures the image correctly from the new position.
- The West/East/North/South controls work with EQMod driver in simulation mode.

Thus this bug is specific to West/East/North/South controls of the Telescope Simulator.

This scenario appears fixed in 3.4.0.
