If I remove the mouse dongle (wireless mouse) the system is not recognizing this. I have the touchpad configured to turn off if a mouse is plugged in. When I remove the mouse, the touchpad does not activate. This happens if I do this with with the laptop on, or when I turn the laptop off, have the mouse dongle removed, and then turn the laptop back on. I had to go find a mouse to borrow so that I could get into system settings and deactivate the checkbox that is used to control this (checkbox: disable touchpad when mouse is plugged in). I had removed the mouse before I went somewhere. This is on an ASUS ROG GL753VE-DS74.
Next time this happens: Alt+F2 touchpad Enter, then Tab to navigate, or Alt+letter for quick access. No mouse needed to reactivate.
