Description Laura Nona 2017-07-14 12:08:30 UTC
This appears to have the same effect as bug 353005 but the cause does not appear to be the same.

Choosing Configure Rekonq... | Search Engines displays:
The module could not be found
The diagnosis is:
The desktop file could not be found

Search engines that are already configured continue to work as expected

Following the suggestion in bug 353005 I checked the installed packages but all applicable rekonq and konqueror packages are installed

To reproduce: Open the Search Engines configuration dialog

Expected result: A list of search engines to configure

Platform:
OpenSuse Tumbleweed 20170710 (64-bit)
KDE Plasma 5.10.3
KDE Frameworks 5.35.0
Qt 5.9.1
Kernel 4.11.8-1-default
Processors: 4x AMD A6-3670 APU with Radeon Hd Graphics
RAM: 7.3GiB

Development on Rekonq ceased four years ago, and it has been unmaintained since then. KDE recommends using Falkon instead.
