BugView Report

Help! Krita has been crashing whenever I open it or attempt to open new canvases. When it does not crash, the pen pressure does not work. I have tried multiple suggested solutions, such as disabling and enabling OpenGL, uninstalling and reinstalling Krita, restarting my laptop, updating Intel Graphics (which I couldnt get to actually update), and manually activating pen pressure. Nothing works! I use a Wacom Intuos, my laptop is a Dell with Windows 8. Attached is the BugView report of me attempting to draw in a canvas, not having pen pressure, trying different things to fix it, and ultimately- Krita crashing. Please help! Thank you!

I'm sorry, but the attachment only shows that Krita does not get events from the stylus, which of course means you don't get pressure. You'd need to start debugview before starting Krita to see whether Krita can find the wintab dll at all.

To generate a crash report, you need debug symbols. Please follow https://docs.krita.org/Dr._Mingw_debugger to see how to generate the crash report.

Hi Rose,

I'm afraid that without more information we simply cannot help you. We do need a crash log to figure out what might be crashing Krita on your system, and as for the wacom tablet, the log shows that Krita doesn't get any input from the tablet. You should probably start debugview before starting Krita so we can see whether Krita sees the wintab32 dll at all.
