I've been successfully using kdenlive on ubuntu (not Kubuntu) since upgrading the OS to 17.04. From then kdenlive does not play the timeline preview and the cursor line (the one for selecting the frame to show in the preview window) remains at the beginning of the timeline. When I hit the preview play button the screen become gray and does not change until I kill all kdenlive processes from a terminal. I even tried to reinstall kdenlive (the version is 17.04.2). I downgraded the kernel and tried to start ubuntu with a 16.10 kernel but the behaviour is the same. The program does not crash so I do not have any dump. Even starting it from terminal I do not get any useful message, only some Invalid Context= "stock" line for icon theme: "/usr/share/icons/ubuntu-mono-dark/stock/128/" Please help me to get more info to give to you in order to fix the problem. Please try with the actual Kdenlive AppImage version 18.128.0b Run the Appimage from the terminal (press CTRL + ALT + T). Move to the AppImage folder and run the .AppImage: ./Kdenlive*.AppImage
