Description Azarilh 2017-07-08 12:23:33 UTC
If i open the KDE Menu Editor and remove some applications and save, it changes nothing, the application that i removed reappear when i reopen the KDE Menu Editor.
Comment 1 Christoph Feck 2017-07-12 13:23:00 UTC
Are those applications installed by the package manager, or locally installed in your home directory?
Comment 2 Christoph Feck 2017-07-26 17:50:36 UTC
If you can provide the information requested in comment #1, please add it.
Comment 3 Azarilh 2017-07-28 22:02:56 UTC
I can't remove all the added applications from KDE Menu, no matter from where i installed it: Discover, manual install, Wine, etc..
Comment 4 Christoph Feck 2017-08-01 19:09:29 UTC
Could you please check if you have write access to ~/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu

If yes, please check if the file changes if you make modifications with the applications menu editor.
Comment 5 Azarilh 2017-08-02 00:48:17 UTC
Yes, i have the file write access (for all users) and it don't change when i try to delete applications; if i modify something, however, the file changes.
Comment 6 Azarilh 2017-08-02 00:55:36 UTC
If i manually remove the application link from the file, the application still remain in the KDE Menu Editor...

Thanks for the report Azarilh.

I've just tried to replicate this issue on the latest kmenuedit from git master and I can't.

Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved, thanks.

Well, the issue is not present anymore. Damn, it was 3 years ago... I just didn't care about it anymore as i removed the start menu and started using directly shortcuts and krunner.
