Description zeta 2017-07-06 12:42:27 UTC
It affects workflow, I't would be nice if this is configurable.

Note that both MinimizeAll script and Minimize Windows widget can be affected. I only verified it for Minimize Windows widget because MinimizeAll script is not currently working for me (I filed a separate bug for this)

Thanks

sorry, but could you please explain what doesn't work and how you expect it to work?
Comment 2 zeta 2017-07-06 18:17:10 UTC
Martin, sorry I was not descriptive enough.

Example of a Use case 1 (feature not implemented):

- User is working on activity A, which is a neatly organized dashboard of 4 windows, one on each corner (let's say they are 2 browsers and 2 terminals).

- User switches to activity B, which is a "kitchen sink" with notepads and documents all over the place.

- To avoid distraction, user minimizes all windows and restores view to 2 of the documents

- User goes back to activity A. The dashboards ar minimized :(

Example of a Use case 2 in which the featured is implemented:

- User is working on activity A, which is a neatly organized dashboard of 4 windows, one on each corner.

- User switches to activity C and then back and forth between activity C and D.

- He uses applications shared by all activities like a screenshot utility or a terminal

- He goes back to activity A and the shared applications are covering the other windows

- He goes back to activity D and minimizes all windows (which includes those exclusive to activity D and those that are shared)

- He goes back to activity A and the shared applications are now minimized, but the dashboard is visible.

Do you need more info?

Best regards

I'm sorry but it is minimize all and no minimize only on current activity. I would say that script works exactly as one expects.

Martin: You are absolutely right.
This is a feature request ("I't would be nice if this is configurable").

Sorry if opening a bug was not the right thing to do, I'm a newbie here.
Can you please give me some direction to the right place to open a feature request?

Best regards.

Totally honest answer: we don't have the resources to implement user wishes.
