Hi there, new to Krita, but I have found an annoying bug. I can't edit any photos using Krita in the opening dialog box, a splash screen appears, but doesn't disappear unless I click "OK"

I can't quite tell what "can't edit photos in the opening dialog box" means and which "splash screen" you are talking about. Would you mind clarifying and provide some screen shots?

Also, which version of Krita are you using and what operating system do you use?

Closing, there is not enough information to help the user, and it's vanishingly unlikely that the bug actually refers to a real bug in Krita.
