The two kmail "Remove duplicates" options are very unreliable, it used to work fine. when selecting the first "Remove Duplicate Messages" option, I now always get 2 popup error messages then it stops processing: Error occurred during removing duplicate emails: 'Unable to fetch item from backend (collection 16) : Unable to retrieve item from resource: [LRCONFLICT] Resource akonadi_maildir_resource_0 tries to modify item 3253 () (in collection 16) with dirty payload, aborting STORE. Followed by Error occurred during removing duplicate emails: 'Unable to fetch item from backend (collection 16) : Unable to retrieve item from resource: [LRCONFLICT] Resource akonadi_maildir_resource_0 tries to modify item 3253 () (in collection 16) with dirty payload, aborting STORE.' And if i use the 2nd option on Folder menu to remove all from this folder and sub folders, it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't even seem to run at all. It happens very often, lots of emails are lost .
Since moving to Postgresql, things have improved a lot. Also since moving i've had less duplicates to test on.
