When I start a readout of a VCD (VCD auslesen) and try to save it in a folder which is not empty I am showed a dialogue containing the filenames inside that folder. If these files contain either German Umlaute (äöü) or Persian/Arabic characters, these are only shown as unreadable hieroglyphics.

Dear Leslie, unluckily I won't have VCDs around until next week and I can't test it using DVDs as this requires transcode which is not in the sources / not installable right now. I am really apologizing, but I never built myself and it looks awfully complicated and time consuming - sorry!
