Description Stephan 2017-06-20 12:15:00 UTC
I have any projects made with this program. Very good. But all projects created with earlier versions of the program modifies the project file and create a new update. This ist not only one time with the new version. Everytime i closed the project and reopen it the program modifies the projectfile and craetes an update. Sometimes so i have any backup-files with no need of them.

Hi,

Finally found some time to look at this issue. The problem seems to be that MLT/FFmpeg (video backend) does not provide a reliable length for some of your mp3 files. So Kdenlive detects that the file duration has changed and creates a backup. I still have to check that part in Kdenlive... are you using a recent FFmpeg version ?

Hi.

The videos are from a record of a series of webinars. Two programs are used, one was vlc (Ubuntu) everytime the newest version from the ubuntu-software-stock and another program runs on windows. I think a version of adobe-creator, but i think not the newest version.
Some of the files recorded from an AV-Grapper (V4L2) with conversion sound to mp3.
This problem i saw in all projects i used in two versions of KDen-Live. But I thank for the info because it is maybe a way to solve the problem. (For example pre-convert the av-files)

Do you still encounter this problem with the newest Kdenlive version 18.08.3?
